These popular western style bow ties are now available in Kentucky Colonel & Cross Over bow tie styles. Western ties in particular are increasingly becoming a fashionable alternative to regular bow ties for both casual and formal occasions.
Always the best quality and return -of -post. I was asked to source a Kentucky tie and as I have bought and used these for myself , naturally I went to 'S & S'. I always wear the bow points under the collar. I do with any bow and it was very common at the end of the C19th. I think it looks rather silly with the bows sticking out as if a dragon fly was attacking the jugular...I love the braids hanging down with a good bit of exposed shirt front too. The bows are well-made and clip on easily and quickly at the side with a firm adjustment.
Neat tie, looked very good on black cotton shirt. On my shirt it had to be worn with the bows under the collar points but still looked the business. That's to do with the collar shape and size rather than the tie but it's something that buyers may need to think about. Took a few tries to get the right length and I found I had to gently tighten the "Hook" end of the fastening with a pair of pliers to stop it springing undone. It then lasted all day long without coming loose.. A reasonable price and very prompt delivery so I would definitely recommend it.
