Doctors beat government’s clothing guidelines by dumping ties for bow ties

Some doctors a head start on government plans to tackle hospital infections, already replacing their ties with bow ties.

On Monday 17th September, the Department of Health announced a series of new clothing guidelines, including the end of doctors’ white coats and a recommendation not to wear neck ties.
