Is David Beckham still the UK’s most stylish
celebrity dad?
David Beckham has won back his place in the national
squad and the support of the fans – can he now
win back another prestigious title, as the UK’s
most stylish celebrity dad?
Becks was the winner of the 2006 poll run by the UK’s
leading online tie retailer TieWarehouse.co.uk, picking
up a third of all votes cast.
But as the nominees are announced for the 2007 poll,
Beckham is up against some tough competition, including
fellow footballer Steven Gerrard.
Shoppers on the website are being asked to pick a winner
in time for Fathers Day.
Tie Warehouse’s Gary Baker said: “So much
has changed for David Beckham in the last year, it’ll
be interesting to see if he’s still as popular
with our customers. His return to the national squad
might just tip voting in his favour again.”
The ten nominees are:
· David Beckham
· Stephen Gerrard
· GMTV’s Ben Shephard
· Tony Blair
· Jude Law
· Jonathan Ross
· Peter Andre
· Gordon Ramsey
· Clive Owen
· Gordon Brown
The winning celebrity will be sent a selection of the
site’s most stylish ties and accessories.
Gary added: “There are a couple of wildcards
in the nominees list this year, including Gordon Brown.
We’re pretty certain he’s not considered
a style icon in any way. But given the chance to vote,
it’ll be interesting to see if the British public
agrees!”
