How to Order
To place an order, click on the Add To Cart button
next to the product you wish to order. To return to
the shop to purchase more items, click on Continue Shopping
in your shopping basket. You can view your basket at
any time by clicking on View Cart at the top right
of the page. You can check out any time by clicking
on Checkout at the top right of the page or in your cart.
To delete an item in your cart, click on the delete
button next to the item you want to remove. You can
also change the quantity of the products you've ordered
by changing the figure in the Qty box in your cart and
clicking on Update. Payment is by credit or debit card
only and all orders are processed on a secure server.
We can only accept orders from our shipping country list.

Payment Options
Payment is by debit or credit card, or cheque / postal order (UK) only. We currently
accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Maestro, Delta and Visa Electron. All card payments are processed
on secure servers. If you are paying by cheque, your order will only be despatched when the cheque has cleared, so please allow up to 14 days from us receiving your cheque for your order to be despatched. If we do not receive your cheque or postal order within 14 days of you placing your order, your order will be cancelled and you will need to place your order again. UK Delivery (Standard): Standard
Delivery to the UK is only £1.95 per order! Most orders placed
before 4pm Monday-Friday are despatched the same day
by 1st Class post and usually arrive within 2-3 working
days (Mon-Fri) from despatch (subject to Royal Mail).
Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays are despatched
the next working day. BFPO orders should select this option.
Free UK Delivery over £35! Applies to orders over £35 excluding delivery. Free delivery is equivalent to UK Delivery (Standard 1st Class).
UK Delivery (Next Day by 9am or 1pm, and Saturday Deliveries):
If you require a next day delivery (available Mon-Fri
only), this is available for only £6.95 (for 1pm delivery, £14.95 for 9am delivery, or £8.95 for Saturday delivery) by selecting
the Next Day Delivery option during checkout.
Next Day orders are sent by Royal Mail. Please note that a signature
is required on delivery so someone will need
to be at the delivery address to receive the parcel.
Please note that next day delivery for delivery on a weekday is for UK orders only, and available for orders placed by 4pm Monday to Thursday.
Orders placed after 4pm will be despatched
the following day. Any Next Day Delivery orders placed
by 4pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday unless
a Saturday delivery is ordered. Next day Delivery orders
placed after 4pm on Fridays, on weekends or bank holidays
will only be despatched on the next working day to arrive
the day after. Next Day Delivery to remote or outlying
areas of Scotland (and Islands) and Channel Islands
will take on average 2-3 working days, and will be sent by Royal Mail. Please see the Returns section

about Returns and delivery charges.
USA / Canada / EU / Australia / NZ:
Additional shipping charges apply to countries outside
the UK. Shipping charges are calculated according to
the weight of the item and can be selected when adding
items to your shopping cart. Orders are sent by Royal
Mail Standard Airmail and usually arrive within 14 days
(excluding weekends and bank holidays) from despatch.
Orders sent Express usually arrive within 7 days (excluding
weekends and bank holidays). Please note that
Express Delivery charges are non-refundable
if an order is returned. All international delivery
times are subject to your country's postal system and
customs. Please see the Returns section for important
information about Returns and delivery charges.
Free International Delivery over £50! Applies to orders over £50 excluding delivery. Free delivery is equivalent to Royal Mail Standard Airmail (14 days).
We aim to despatch orders received by 4pm the same
day they are received (excluding Bank Holidays and Weekends),
but delivery time is subject to Royal Mail and same
day despatch is not guaranteed.
Delivery Addresses: If you select
a different delivery address to the billing address (i.e. the address where your card statements are sent to),
the delivery address will need to be verified separately.
This may in some cases delay your order and in some cases your order
will not be delivered to an address other than the billing
address, or may be cancelled if we are unable to contact
you at the billing address. If you have ordered a Next
Day service, you will not be compensated for any delays
caused by using a delivery address that's different
to the billing address.

PLEASE NOTE: Most orders fit through
a normal letterbox, however if you have ordered more
than 3 ties the package will be larger and there should
be someone at the delivery address to receive the delivery
or a re-delivery may have to be arranged and you will
be responsible for any extra charges as a result.
Packaging: Orders are posted in
padded mail bags to protect them from damage. Orders
of 1 or 2 small items will normally fit through a standard
letterbox. Most of our ties are also enclosed in clear
plastic/cellophane sleeves, but this is not part of
the standard packaging.

BFPO Orders
We are very happy to deliver to BFPO addresses. These are treated in the same way as UK addresses, except that Next Day or other special services are not available for BFPO orders. Please just select the Royal Mail 1st Class post option, and enter your full BFPO address, your order will be delivered through the BFPO system.

If you decide you no longer want the item you have purchased, just return it to us within 30 days and we'll refund you in full. No hassle, no quibbling. (Item must not have been worn, used or damaged. See full Returns information below.)
If you wish to return or exchange an item,
please see the back of the packing slip that came with your
order for instructions on how to go about this, or see our Returns page. Requests for refunds/returns
must be made within 30 days of delivery - late returns will
not be considered, however some allowance will be made in the event of Royal Mail strikes or other action which may prevent timely returns. Goods should be received by Swagger & Swoon
within 14 days of notification of intent to return. Return postage costs are
the responsibility of the person returning the order - it
is recommended that you return your goods using Recorded Delivery. Next Day and other express delivery charges are non-refundable unless the order is cancelled as per the terms below. International shipping charges are not refundable.
Christmas Returns
To allow for returns of Christmas gifts, items bought as Christmas presents that fall outside the normal returns period can be exchanged for a product of the same or higher value after Christmas, up until the 14th of January 2012. No refunds for price differences for exchanges can be made under this scheme. Returns for refunds will still need to be within the normal timescales above.
If you wish to cancel your order, you should contact us as soon as possible
after ordering and we will cancel your order and refund any
payments you have made. If your order has already been despatched
you will need to follow the returns procedure above, unless it is within 7 days of receiving your order, in which case you may cancel your order (UK only) under the Distance Selling Regulations (2000). To cancel your order under these regulations, you will need to inform us in writing (by email using our contact form is acceptable) that you wish to cancel your order, within 7 days of receipt of your order. We will then refund you in full within 30 days, however you will still be responsible for returning the goods at your own cost, and ensuring the goods are in their original condition. If you fail to return the goods within 14 days of cancelling your order, we will arrange to collect the order and you will charged for any costs incurred.
Refunds
will be made back to the debit or credit card used for the
original order within 30 days of cancellation or return of the order.
Next Day Delivery charges are non-refundable unless the order
is cancelled as above, or does not arrive within the day specified in the Terms and
Conditions as the next working day, or through any other fault
of Swagger & Swoon. Return postage costs will only be refunded
if the return is due to an error of Swagger & Swoon and if a
receipt for the postage is included with the returned product,
and only for Royal Mail 1st or 2nd Class postage, and Royal
Mail's Recorded Mail service. In such cases if a full refund
plus the return postage is required, it will not be possible
to refund more than the original purchase price, and postage
costs will be provided instead as a Swagger & Swoon gift certificate
or discount voucher which will be valid for 6 months. In the
event the goods are not returned and Swagger & Swoon is required
to recover the goods, we will charge you for any costs incurred
for such recoveries. We reserve the right to limit the amount
of times an order or item can be returned or exchanged. These returns procedures do not affect your statutory rights.
If you have received a quantity discount as a result of
a bulk purchase or any other similar offer, and have returned
part of the order for a refund, the discount originally received
will be readjusted based on the number of products retained
or other terms of the original discount, and any refunds will
be subject to these adjusted discounts. Swagger & Swoon is not
responsible for any customs charges, bank charges or any other
charges incurred by you as part of a transaction and will
not reimburse any such charges.
Any returned products must be in the original packaging,
and the goods should not have been used or damaged in any
way. Any returns that do not comply with these requirements
will not be refunded. The address for returns can be found
on the Contact Us page and
on the back of your packing slip.
If you're not sure whether the colour or type of tie
you see on your screen is what you want, feel free to
order it anyway and if it's not right you can return
it within 14 days for a refund. This is especially useful
if you want a specific colour or shade for a wedding,
and gives you the opportunity to compare the tie with
colour swatches.

Swagger & Swoon uses a secure server for processing your
order and payment. Swagger & Swoon is also accredited by ISIS
so you can buy online with confidence. We do not store your card details - these are passed securely to your bank in the background when you complete your order and we do not have access to your card number or security code at any time. We are PCI DSS compliant, which means our servers and procedures have passed the strict controls laid out by the credit card providers, and our servers are regularly monitored and tested for security.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us! Any information entered
in this site, for example your name and email address
entered in our contact forms, will be used to contact
you and keep in touch with you about your enquiry or
about the product or service you have received from
us, and will not be used for any other purpose. You may receive the occasional direct mail from us if we have something important we wish to tell you, and you can request not to receive these by contacting
us at any time. You
will not be added to our email mailing list unless you have
opted to do so by subscribing to our newsletter or entering any prize draws or competitions we hold, and you can unsubscribe from any mailings
at any time. In accordance with the Privacy & Electronic
Communications Act, we do not send random marketing
emails to personal email addresses (spam).
You will also have the option to subscribe to our free
email newsletter, and in such cases your name and email address
will be added to our email mailing list so that we can let
you know about special offers or new products and keep
you informed about the latest exclusive offers which
may be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe from
this list or any other mailings at any time by following
the instructions in the email you receive from us or
by contacting us and requesting removal from the mailing
list. Except in the case of a sale of the business or
assets of Swagger & Swoon Ltd or its trading companies
(in which case you will be notified and given the opportunity

Choosing a Tie
There are two main types of tie: Silk and Polyester.
Silk is usually slightly more expensive than its polyester
equivalent and will almost always require dry-cleaning.
Silk can be printed (commonly just referred to as "silk")
or woven - woven silk tends to be thicker and you will
often see a fabric weave running through it. Polyester
ties can be standard Polyester, Woven Polyester or Satin
Polyester. Satin Polyester ties tend to have a silky
or satin finish to them so you get a soft, smooth effect.
Woven polyester ties can also be smooth and usually
have a weave throughout the tie. Polyester ties can
sometimes be machine-washed but generally it is better
to dry-clean them as well. Lightweight Ties can be silk
or polyester and are made of quite thin material. These
ties are usually indicated as being lightweight in the
description. In general, unless someone especially wants
a silk tie, most visitors to Swagger & Swoon choose a
tie based on its design rather than whether it is silk

Stock Queries - Out of Stock or Need More?
The product information pages show the current stock
level for that product in real time. If an item is currently
out of stock it will probably be back in stock within
a week in most cases. We are unable to give an exact date for items coming back into stock. Our recommendation is to complete the Notify Me form on the product page and you will be emailed when it comes back in. Please note that Christmas stock runs out quickly and may not be back in time before Christmas. If you have any questions about a product or stock levels, please use our Quick Response Service.
If you need more of an
item than is currently in stock, please contact
us as we can usually order more for you. We recommend
that you order one initially just so you can check the
colour, fabric etc is right and then we can order the
rest in for you. Please note however, that manufacturers
change their stock regularly so we cannot guarantee
availability of any item that we do not currently have
in stock, but we will always try to find an alternative
in the event this happens. Please also see our Wedding
Ties section for more information specifically for
wedding services.

Weddings, Corporate & Bulk
Orders
We regularly supply ties for weddings, staff uniforms,
choirs, events and corporate functions, so if you require
a specific type of tie for a wedding or other occasion
that is not currently listed on the site, please let
us know and we will try to get it for you. If you have
found what you want on the site but need more than is
currently in stock, please contact
us as we can usually order more for you. Please
give us as much advance warning as possible as sometimes
we have to wait a while to get the products from the
suppliers. If you're not sure whether the colour or
type of tie you see on your screen is what you want,
feel free to order it anyway and if it's not right you
can return it within 14 days for a refund. This is especially
useful if you want a specific colour or shade for a
wedding, and gives you the opportunity to compare the
tie with colour swatches. Please also see our Wedding
Ties section for more information specifically for
wedding services. Please note that we do not make bespoke
ties or do custom designs, nor do we do wholesale orders,
however we do offer discounts for larger quantities.

Ordering a Gift
If you are ordering a gift for someone, please note
that most orders include our name on the packaging,
but we do not include an invoice or any indication of
the costs with any orders. We do however include a packing
slip which shows who ordered the item and where it is
being delivered to, the order number, and our contact
details should there be any problems. We can also giftwrap
it for you and add a message from you. Please select
the giftwrap option when adding a product to your cart,
and enter any message you want included in the comments
box during checkout.

Can you gift wrap my order?
Yes, we can wrap your gift for you, and include a message
if required. Please tick the giftwrap box when adding
an item to your cart. You can enter any message you
want included in the comments box during checkout and
this will be added to a suitable gift tag with your
order.

Can I order by phone?
Yes, you can order by phone 9am
to 5pm Monday to Friday using the numbers on the contact us page, apart from 24 December to 4
January when phone ordering will not be available. Please
note however that we may need to call you back if we're
busy on another order, and your order will still be
processed in the normal way using our online system.
It is secure however, and your debit or credit card
details are processed on secure servers. We would advise
using our online system wherever possible to avoid any
delays to your order.

Can you send me a catalogue?
Unfortunately we don't have a catalogue of our stock
as the ties we have change on a regular basis. All our
latest ties can be found on our website.

Do you have a shop I can visit?
As an internet based company we do not have any high
street shops, but we can deliver throughout the UK
within a couple of days and accept returns if the tie
you've ordered is not right for you.

Do you provide sample swatches
for your ties?
We currently have a small selection of swatches for our ties, these can be found on our Swatches page. If we do not have a swatch in the particular colour you require we suggest you place an order for one tie to check it is suitable before ordering a larger quantity.

Do you have matching handkerchiefs?
Yes, we can provide matching handkerchiefs for some
of our ties and cravats. These are mainly available
for our plain ties and cravats and can viewed in our

Shrek, Scooby Doo or Sponge Bob Ties?
Due to the licencing requirements for these images,
we currently don't sell any of these ties.

Why was my card payment declined?
When you pay online using your debit or credit card,
the details you include are sent to your bank for authorisation.
If any of these do not match the information your bank
has for that card, it may be declined by your bank.
In some cases the bank will still authorise the transaction,
but we will need to manually verify it. If we are unable
to verify it we will have to refund the amount back
to the card. This happens very rarely though, and you
will be contacted if there are any problems. To ensure
your payment is accepted, please make sure the name,
address, postcode, and security code you enter on the
payment page match those of your card exactly. For more
detailed information on payment errors, please see Payment Help.

Why haven't I received my order
yet?
Orders are usually despatched the same day if ordered
by 4pm, or early the following day if ordered after
4pm, and are sent by First Class post so should arrive
within 1-2 days (for UK orders, 10-14 working days for
Rest of World). If you have not received your order
after 2 or 3 working days from when it was due, please
contact your local sorting office as soon as possible
to see if it is there, as they may have tried to deliver
it but it was too big for your letter box. Please do
not delay contacting your local sorting office as they
will return the package if it is not collected in time.
If you still haven't received it after 7 days, please
contact us and we'll
try to sort it out for you.
