First Impressions Count

October 21st, 2012 by Gary Baker · Comments Off

We’ve all heard the saying that “first impressions count” so I hope you don’t mind if I ask how much importance do you place on your personal grooming?  Did you know most of us make up our mind about someone within the first few seconds!   At home it is easy to make sure you always look your best but if you work away from home or are off on your travels then a manicure and shaving set could be one of the most important items you pack in your suitcase.

Just as the outside of a house is important when marketing a home for sale, your image is what helps “sell” you to potential employers, members of the opposite sex, your peers and other groups of people you meet. Your CV may tell the story of a highly educated and accomplished individual, but if your appearance and cleanliness don’t follow suit then you put yourself at a disadvantage, possibly missing out on opportunities for advancement at work and fulfillment in personal relationships.

Why not treat yourself or someone you love to a personal grooming set to ensure the ‘First Impression’ is the very best it can be.

Eamonn Holmes and That Tie

October 17th, 2012 by Gary Baker · Comments Off

Eamonn Holmes really likes the ties we gave him for the Daily Mail photoshoot a couple of months ago, so it was great to see him wearing one of them again on Sky News this morning. It is a nice tie (The Red Sorrento Flower Power Silk Tie), featuring a red flowery pattern on a black background, so I’m sure we’ll see it again! Although it’s a limited availability design, you can still get it here: Eamonn Holmes’ Tie.

Bejewelling The Wrist

October 9th, 2012 by Gary Baker · Comments Off

The majority of people probably believe that the wearing of cufflinks may belong to the rich, the famous or the aristocracy, not your average man on the street. Apart from the wristwatch and the ring on their finger, men often don’t have that many accessories but the cufflinks are top of the list when seeking the look of sophistication, an air of grandeur or when looking to make a great first impression.

Bejewelling the wrists with these small “gems” is an art, being sure that you are making the right statement whether you are dining out for a romantic meal with your loved one, a black tie event or even a boardroom battle; picking the right cufflinks for each occasion is essential.
